Shinchosha Co., Ltd. (Shinjuku, Tokyo) and Artist Agent Links LLC (Setagaya, Tokyo) have announced that they will stage an original musical based on the popular manga 'Rokuhoudou Yotsuiro Biyori' (serialized in Comic Bunch Kai) from October 16 to October 25, 2026, at 'CBGK Shibugeki!!'.

Starting its serialization in 2013, 'Rokuhoudou Yotsuiro Biyori' is a heartwarming story set in a traditional Japanese sweets shop named 'Rokuhoudou'. The shop is run by four specialists: Sui (owner and tea master), Gure (latte art), Tsubaki (sweets), and Tokitaka (cooking). The story depicts the warm interactions with customers and the backstories of the four men, centered around tea, sweets, and the cafe environment.

The series was previously adapted into an anime in 2018 and a live-action drama in 2022. This upcoming production in Autumn 2026 marks the franchise's first-ever musical adaptation.

The creative staff includes: - Script & Lyrics: Tsunehiro Motoyoshi, known for 'JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood' and 'The Twelve Kingdoms'. - Composer & Music Director: Sumina Nishi, who has worked as a pianist and music director for various musical projects. - Director: Yuichi Harada, an active musical actor ('Les Misérables' as Marius) and director ('bare').

The cast features: - Sui (Owner): Kaname Futaba, known for 'The Prince of Tennis' 3rd Season. - Tokitaka: Ryo Hirano. - Gure: Yuya Uno. - Tsubaki: Daiki Naito. - Yakyo (Sui's twin brother): Yu Futaba (Kaname's real-life twin brother). - Kadosaki (Genius pastry chef): Kazuya Matsunaga. - Tenjin-san (Regular customer): Hiroshi Hatanaka.

The musical synopsis begins in a certain spring. In the past, Kyosui (Sui), working as an office worker, had a dream of inheriting 'Rokuhoudou', the cafe his grandfather used to run. However, there was something weighing on his heart...

Original creator Yuu Shimizu commented: 'I never dreamed the day would come when the Rokuhoudou members would sing! Even the vice-president and pastry chef will sing. I am very grateful to have a new version of Rokuhoudou created in this wonderful way. I am excited to see how the characters will show their hospitality on stage in real-time.'

Scriptwriter Motoyoshi added: 'It has been delightful to turn the stories of the people who gather at Rokuhoudou into song. I chose carefully from many possibilities to create a story about things that stay the same and things that change.'

Composer Nishi expressed her honor: 'I found every character to be a protagonist in their own right. I look forward to seeing how the melodies of these gentle yet unique characters will intertwine.'
