Earned a master's degree in education from UC Berkeley and has been involved in public school education for over 20 years. Her debut work "The Mechanics of Memory", published in 2024, was nominated for the Edgar Award for Best First Novel and three other awards, and the audiobook version won the IPPY Gold Medal for Best Mystery/Thriller. She lives in San Francisco with her husband, son, and a Maltipoo.
