Weapons: A Quick Getaway and a Sharp Tongue. An extraordinary private detective is 'challenged' by a series of gruesome murders in the demon world?! Ian Rogers' 'The Devil's City of Sycamore' (Translated by Kenji Kazama) will finally be published by Shinchosha Bunko on Monday, March 30th.

A portal to a dark demon world called 'Blackland' appears in Sycamore, a town near Toronto. Coincidentally, a series of gruesome murders are occurring in the town, and a corpse has disappeared from a blood-soaked crime scene – no, it seems to have escaped. Private detective Felix, hired for a peculiar missing person case, finds himself having to search even into the unwillingly entered 'Blackland'... This is the case that the protagonist, whose motivation is as unclear as his willingness to take it on, is challenged by (or rather, is forced to confront). The case requires unraveling a complex web of mysteries. With its special settings reminiscent of dark fantasy, a serial murder case, a wisecracking private detective, and a perfectly crafted whodunit with an unexpected twist, this ultra-unique mystery, a true page-turner, might just become the talk of this year's Mystery Best 10 rankings.
