'Naruse wa Tenka wo Tori ni Iku' by Otsu City resident Mina Miyajima is a sensational debut work that has won numerous literary awards, including the 2024 Japan Booksellers' Award. With the release of the final volume, 'Naruse wa Miyako wo Kakenukeru,' on December 1st, the series has concluded, surpassing 2.1 million copies in total circulation!

To commemorate the conclusion of the series and the release of the final volume, Shinchosha Co., Ltd. donated a 'Naruse wa Tenka wo Tori ni Iku' designed manhole cover to Otsu City, with a donation ceremony held at the Otsu City Hall. The manhole is currently installed in front of the JR Zeze Station North Exit escalator (in front of the Keihan Zeze Station ticket gate).

We are pleased to announce that the distribution of a commemorative manhole card has been decided. Please note that for the April and May distribution, cards will be awarded via lottery from those who apply in advance. From June onwards, distribution will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
