Shimamura Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: 1-602-1 Kitabukuro-cho, Omiya-ku, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture; President: Iichiro Takahashi) will be conducting a clothing collection from Monday, April 6th to Sunday, April 19th, at all Shimamura Group stores excluding remote islands (Shimamura, Avail, Birthday, Chambre, Divalo).

Since starting at some stores in 2024, we have collected over '210 tons' of clothing.

This time, we are further expanding the number of stores to allow even more people to participate.

Purpose of Clothing Collection

The Shimamura Group has positioned 'the continuation and evolution of zero product waste' as one of its key ESG issues, and we are implementing a 'zero waste' policy to sell every last item we offer. (We do not dispose of surplus inventory.)

Moving forward, we will evolve this initiative further by conducting clothing collections to aim for 'zero waste' for clothing that customers no longer need after purchase.

About 'Shima-Eco'

Among Shimamura's sustainability activities, we have named our environmental initiatives 'Shima-Eco' and created a logo mark. We are engaged in environmentally sustainable activities such as waste reduction, resource recycling, and creating eco-friendly products.
