Our company endorses April Dream, a project to make April 1st a day for sharing dreams. This press release is the dream of the "Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Shimada Mirai Foundation."
The General Incorporated Foundation Shimada Mirai Foundation (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / Representative: Toshinari Shimada) was certified by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, and transitioned to the Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Shimada Mirai Foundation. Aiming to solve the challenges of a super-aged society and social welfare, we will move further forward to realize the dream of "students' new ideas and designs changing the future society" by continuing to provide non-repayable, grant-type scholarships to students who will carry the future.
■ Transforming Japan, the World's Most Aged Country, into an Exciting Future
Japan is currently facing the highest aging rate in the world (Reference: 2024 Cabinet Office "White Paper on Aging Society"). We, the Shimada Mirai Foundation, believe that "diverse perspectives" beyond the framework of welfare are essential to solve this issue.
Art, robotics, medicine, architecture, and economics. If students from all fields seriously bring together their respective expertise, free designs, and fresh ideas, the future society can surely be changed. A future where students from diverse fields confront the challenges of a super-aged society, creating new value there. We will accompany the realization of such a "dream."

Our Thoughts on Becoming a Public Interest Incorporated Foundation - FY2025 Activity Report -
The General Incorporated Foundation Shimada Mirai Foundation was established on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, to realize its dream. On April 1st of the same year, we shared that dream through April Dream. As we proceeded with our activities, we realized the dizzying pace of social change.
Therefore, to enhance our public nature, transparency, and credibility, and to accelerate the realization of our dream, we applied for public interest certification from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. As a result, we were certified on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, exactly one year after our April Dream announcement.
In fiscal year 2025, we primarily conducted the following activities.
■Provided Grant-Type Scholarships Emphasizing High Freedom and Potential
We provide an environment to support students' voluntary learning and growth, and we support challenges to create the future by providing scholarships. We target all faculties and support unprecedented challenges regardless of the field. In addition, because it is a grant-type scholarship that does not require repayment, there are no restrictions on grades or income, and it can be used in conjunction with other scholarships.
