SharkNinja to Launch 5,000 Limited Units of Shark ChillPill Personal Cooling Fan After Crowdfunding Tops ¥110 Million

SharkNinja G.K. announced that its next-generation personal cooling fan, the Shark® ChillPill Personal Cooling Fan, will go on general sale in Japan from June 4, 2026, limited to 5,000 units, following strong demand on the crowdfunding platform GREEN FUNDING. Pre-orders are scheduled to begin on May 22, 2026. The SharkNinja official online store, official Rakuten store, and official Yahoo! Shopping store will begin accepting reservations at 10:00 a.m., while other retail channels will vary by store. The product’s GREEN FUNDING campaign ran until May 10, 2026, raising ¥110,362,457, reaching 55,181% of its target, and attracting 5,178 backers. Unlike conventional handheld fans, the ChillPill combines three cooling functions: fan airflow, mist, and a cooling plate. Due to many requests for general availability after the campaign ended, SharkNinja decided to release the product in a limited run. The retail price is ¥22,000 including tax. Available colors are white, turquoise blue, pink, beige, and rose; the charcoal gray color offered during crowdfunding will not be sold in the general release. White, pink, beige, and rose will be sold through SharkNinja’s official online store, official Rakuten store, official Yahoo! Shopping store, Amazon.co.jp, and online stores of electronics retailers. Turquoise blue will be sold only through SharkNinja’s official online channels. Accessories will be available only through the SharkNinja official online store and can be purchased separately. The Shark ChillPill offers three cooling experiences: powerful airflow with a maximum wind speed of 7.5 m/s, indoor/outdoor cooling mist using evaporative cooling, and a cooling plate that can lower skin temperature by up to 9°C. It features 10 airflow levels, two mist modes, up to 11 hours of fan runtime, up to 2 hours of cooling plate runtime, USB Type-C charging, a twistable body design, and both handheld and tabletop use. Optional accessories such as straps, clips, clamps, and travel cases expand use cases for commuting, work, outdoor events, travel, and activities. Key specifications include a BLDC motor, approximately 15 ml water tank, 275-degree rotation, dimensions of about W8.5 × D4.6 × H10.2–11.3 cm, and weight of about 240–285 g depending on attachment. SharkNinja says the product was developed to address discomfort caused by increasingly long and intense heat waves, where existing portable cooling tools often fall short in cooling power, usability, or battery life. The company also positions the product as a fashion item, combining practical cooling functions with premium texture, color variations, and a playful twist design.
