Shangri-La Tokyo (Location: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; General Manager: Matthias Sutter), which welcomes guests with heartfelt care, will offer the 'Chocolate Tropical Fruit Parfait' and two types of dessert cocktails using chocolates from the Belgian Royal Warrant chocolatier 'Pierre Marcolini' at The Lobby Lounge on the 28th floor for a limited time from May 1 (Fri) to June 30 (Tue).
The new seasonal 'Chocolate Tropical Fruit Parfait' is a dish that reflects the oriental essence unique to Shangri-La Tokyo, combining Pierre Marcolini's cacao-focused chocolate with the acidity of tropical fruits and lime, incorporating almond tofu and the hotel's original Himalayan Blend tea ganache.
The layered parfait features smooth almond tofu at the bottom, followed by banana-mango-passion fruit coulis, moist brownie, and Himalayan Blend tea ganache. It is accented with chocolate shards, chocolate curd, and crunchy praline feuilletine. The top is garnished with mango and pineapple marinated in lime zest, and a fruity mango-passion fruit sorbet. It is finished with chocolate chantilly, cacao tuile, two types of chocolate shards (noir & milk), and the iconic red heart 'Coeur Framboise' from Pierre Marcolini.
Alongside the parfait, The Lobby Lounge will also offer two dessert cocktails that express the charm of Pierre Marcolini.
[Noir Diplomacy] A dessert cocktail themed 'Belgium x Japan,' inspired by the representative Belgian chocolatier 'Pierre Marcolini.' It features 'Genever,' a smoky Belgian spirit, combined with gin, domestic whisky, Pierre Marcolini chocolate drink, and espresso, finished with bitters. It is characterized by a bitter, mature impression.
[Ruby Velvet] A drink themed around the world of Pierre Marcolini. Based on rum infused with raspberry tea, it is mixed with fresh raspberries, Pierre Marcolini chocolate drink, and white chocolate liqueur, and garnished with the iconic red heart 'Coeur Framboise.' It offers a gorgeous taste where the rich chocolate flavor spreads with the sweet and sour notes of fruit.
