The specified non-profit organization Inheritance and Real Estate Support Center (Location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Daiki Miyagawa; hereinafter 'Our Organization'), which supports the popularization of 'legacy gifts'—entrusting assets to organizations aiming to solve social issues—will sign a 'Partnership Agreement on the Promotion of End-of-Life Planning and Legacy Gifts' with the Toshima Ward Council of Social Welfare in April 2026. Based on this agreement, we will strengthen support to resolve issues surrounding end-of-life planning and real estate inheritance faced by Toshima Ward residents, as well as facilitate social contributions through 'legacy gifts'.

## ■ Background and Aim of the Agreement

In recent years, with the declining birthrate, aging population, and an increase in single-person households, there has been a rapid surge in consultations regarding inheritance measures for 'individuals living alone', the destination of assets when there are no heirs, and particularly the disposal of real estate such as vacant houses and lots in regional areas. In Toshima Ward as well, there is a demand for creating an environment where residents can live safely and authentically until the very end, and a system to materialize their 'wishes' to utilize their precious assets for the future of the community. By leveraging our specialized expertise and collaborating with the Toshima Ward Council of Social Welfare, our organization aims to realize amicable inheritances and popularize legacy gifts as a 'new form of inheritance'.

Based on this agreement, our organization and the Toshima Ward Council of Social Welfare will cooperate on the following matters:

**1. Collaboration on awareness and public relations activities regarding inheritance, end-of-life planning, and legacy gifts**
By holding seminars and consultation sessions for residents, and raising awareness through websites and public relations magazines, we will provide correct knowledge and options regarding inheritance and legacy gifts. **2. Support for the liquidation of non-cash assets such as real estate and securities**

Regarding various procedures associated with inheritance, such as drafting wills and inheritance registration, we collaborate with professionals (lawyers, judicial scriveners, tax accountants, etc.) to provide guidance, consultations, and professional introductions free of charge. By establishing a system where people can consult without financial burden, we ensure that anyone can easily receive support.
