Seraku Co., Ltd. announced that it has introduced the Enterprise version of Cursor, a next-generation code editor with advanced AI assistant capabilities, across the entire company to accelerate its “AI SHIFT” strategy, which promotes digital transformation in development operations and company-wide AI adoption. Before the full rollout, Seraku conducted trial use of Cursor in selected development teams. The company said AI-powered coding support capable of deeply understanding existing codebases fundamentally transformed the development process and delivered clear productivity gains: development cycle time was reduced to one-tenth of the previous level; release frequency improved from once every two to three months to two to three times per week; and the number of pull requests implemented and processed within a given period doubled. Based on these results, Seraku decided to deploy Cursor Enterprise company-wide to improve the developer experience for engineers and maximize the value it provides to customers. Seraku cited enterprise-grade security and governance, suitable for projects at financial institutions and large corporations, as a key reason for selecting Cursor Enterprise, in addition to its strong productivity benefits. Cursor Enterprise provides zero data retention (ZDR), ensuring that internal source code and entered prompts are not used to train external AI models and that a high level of confidentiality is maintained. The Enterprise version also allows organizations to enforce Privacy Mode across the company, preventing individual configuration omissions and systematically ensuring compliance with security policies. It also supports SAML SSO and detailed administrator controls, enabling centralized account management and auditing. While using the latest AI models in a secure environment, teams can share prompts and coding rules, helping standardize quality and share knowledge across large-scale development organizations. Through the company-wide rollout, Seraku aims to reduce engineers’ coding time, improve system quality, and support customers’ system development and DX initiatives more quickly and effectively. In the medium to long term, the company plans to develop “AI-driven engineers” capable of using AI to lead problem-solving and create new value, while strengthening its position as a leading company in IT infrastructure and system development.
