SEQSENSE Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Soichiro Nakamura, hereinafter 'SEQSENSE'), with the cooperation and operation of Teikei Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Yoshiaki Kageyama), began the full-scale operation of the autonomous mobile security robot 'SQ-2' at the 'Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) General Building Annex' starting Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

Under the mission of 'Not changing the world,' SEQSENSE develops, manufactures, and provides services for autonomous mobile robots as a solution to the worsening labor shortage. Currently, the company provides services centered on the autonomous mobile security robot 'SQ-2', and since its launch in 2019, it has deployed robots across Japan, building a strong track record in actual security fields.

At the METI General Building Annex, the SQ-2 will patrol and stand guard on the 1st floor. This will reduce the workload of security guards and contribute to the efficiency of the overall security system of the facility.

[About the Autonomous Mobile Security Robot 'SQ-2']
The SQ-2 is an autonomous mobile security robot created by utilizing advanced technologies such as 3D sensor technology, self-location estimation algorithms, and real-time path planning algorithms.
It is equipped with a proprietary 3D LiDAR* called 'SQ LiDAR', enabling detailed 3D mapping of the security target property and the detection and avoidance of moving objects such as pedestrians.
By fully or partially replacing security tasks such as standing guard, patrolling, and dealing with visitors, it contributes to reducing facility management costs.
Furthermore, the SQ-2 undergoes regular remote updates to implement new features and resolve bugs, ensuring that it can always be used in its most up-to-date state.
