The "Senden Kaigi Award" is hosted by the monthly magazine "Senden Kaigi" and is a public advertising award where participants submit advertising idea proposals in the form of catchphrases or storyboards/scripts. It began in 1962 to commemorate the 100th issue of "Senden Kaigi" magazine and has since been held with the aim of inspiring young copywriters, discovering and nurturing talent, and raising the awareness of copywriters. It is now known as a "gateway for copywriters" and is one of Japan's largest public advertising awards.

It is valued as an opportunity to create creative value in corporate marketing and branding by widely soliciting catchphrases and planning ideas for advertising challenges provided by sponsoring companies. Approximately 100 judges, active in the forefront of the advertising world, including copywriters, CM planners, and creative directors, serve as judges.
