30 Students Wishing to Build Careers Locally Participated! 'Local Job Encyclopedia in TOKYO' Connecting Tohoku Students in the Metropolitan Area with Local Companies Held on January 29

The 'Festival Intern Secretariat', a team aimed at 'creating young talent who want to build their careers locally' operated by Senbay Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture; Representative Director: Maika Furui), held a joint corporate career event 'Local Job Encyclopedia in TOKYO' on Thursday, January 29. The event, aimed at connecting students from Tohoku who have advanced to schools in the Tokyo metropolitan area with local companies, was held with the support of the Aomori Prefectural Government, alongside Aomori Michinoku Bank, CRAZY DAYS, and From One's Heart.

This event was planned with the goal of creating a space where students from Tohoku can rediscover working in their hometowns as a 'life possibility', connecting students anxious about their careers with local challengers.

Over 30 university students with a high inclination towards regional careers gathered to listen to the aspirations of companies taking on challenges locally, and to pose real questions and concerns to young employees who have actually made a U-turn back to their hometowns.

It is a career event to rediscover 'working locally' not just as a job-hunting option, but as a possibility for one's life.

While the phrase 'youth retention' exists, the voices of the students themselves are not sufficiently heard. That is why this event was born from the concerns of current university students from Aomori Prefecture, serving as a place to connect students who have left their hometowns, are reflecting, and are lost about their career paths, with startup companies taking on challenges in the region and leading companies representing northern Tohoku.
Events that don't feel like typical company info sessions—such as talk sessions with young employees thriving locally, individual consultation sessions between companies and students over snacks, and networking events with alcohol—have been well received. To date, a total of over 250 people, including top companies representing Aomori and students wishing to build their careers locally, have participated.
