Sumitomo Densetsu Co., Ltd. introduced a support system for automobile driving license acquisition costs for new high school graduate technical staff from April 1, 2026.
With the declining birthrate and aging population, the working-age population is decreasing, and especially in the construction industry, labor shortage is a major issue. In such an environment, our company is focusing on "strengthening human resource recruitment" as part of the growth strategy and infrastructure strengthening measures of our medium-term management plan "VISION 2030," which covers the period from fiscal year 2025 to 2030. As part of this initiative, by introducing a system to support automobile driving license acquisition costs for new high school graduate technical staff, we aim to alleviate the economic and psychological burden on employees, create a secure working environment, and further promote the recruitment and retention of human resources.
<Outline of the New System> (1) Support details For new high school graduate technical staff who acquire a regular automobile driving license before joining the company or within one year after joining, the license acquisition cost (up to 330,000 yen) will be paid during the summer or winter bonus of the year of joining.
(2) Eligible recipients New high school graduate technical staff joining from fiscal year 2026 onwards.
