Sekido Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Takayuki Oshita), the exclusive distributor of Hasselblad in Japan, will host a seminar event featuring photographer Koji Ueda at Yodobashi Camera Multimedia Ikebukuro on Monday, July 20, 2026 (a national holiday).

In addition to the dedicated Hasselblad space, the Hasselblad Experience Space, where attendees can try current Hasselblad cameras and lenses, a simultaneous Touch & Try event will be held at a special seminar booth, offering hands-on access to products not usually available for trial.

Under the theme "Capturing the Beauty of Travel Memories: The World Through Hasselblad," Mr. Ueda will demonstrate how to artistically capture light, color, and atmosphere encountered during travels using Hasselblad systems such as the X2D II 100C and 907X & CFV 100C. He will explain Hasselblad’s signature rich tonal gradation, natural color reproduction, and the rendering power of X lenses, illustrated with actual photographs. Additionally, he will introduce practical post-shooting workflows suitable for travel, including RAW development using smartphones and uploading to social media and cloud services.

Profile of Koji Ueda

Studied photography and video in San Francisco, USA, where he shot commercials and documentaries. After returning to Japan, he began his career as a photographer following an assistant role under photographer Shinichi Hana. He primarily works on magazines and advertising, while photographing cities and landscapes around the world as his life’s work. In recent years, he has been active in lectures, writing, and sharing insights on photography, travel, and cameras through his YouTube channel "Koji Ueda, Photographer: Travel and Camera." He is a full member of the Japan Professional Photographers Society (JPS).

Hasselblad Touch & Try Event

At the dedicated Hasselblad booth "Hasselblad Experience Space" inside the store, visitors can handle and try flagship products such as the 100-megapixel medium format mirrorless camera X2D II 100C and the 907X & CFV 100C, which combines classic shooting experience with modern digital performance, as well as various XCD series lenses. Additionally, on the day of the seminar event only, currently available XCD lenses and accessories such as the Vandra backpack, which are not normally on display, will be available at a special booth in the seminar area. From 10:00 to 19:00, Mr. Kurokawa from Hasselblad Technical Sales will be on-site to answer customer inquiries regarding purchase and usage.
