The Vienna Boys Choir, boasting over 500 years of history and hailed for their "angelic voices." To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Sekai Bunka Group, publishers of the magazine "Kateigaho," we invite you to a special performance where you can experience their pure voices up close, followed by a one-night-only charity gala party featuring a full-course dinner at a prestigious hotel, to be held on Monday, June 1, 2026. We invite you to a special time filled with music and exquisite cuisine.
The members appearing this time are from the "Bruckner Ensemble," one of the four groups named after composers associated with the choir, such as Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, and Bruckner. Under the baton of Kapellmeister (conductor) Manolo Cánovas, who has led them since 2008, they will present their exceptional harmonies.
The Choir's Origins: A Choir for the Imperial Chapel Founded by an Emperor Founded in 1498 as the court chapel choir by Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I, the choir has a history spanning over 500 years. Their singing was once praised by the great conductor Toscanini as "angelic voices," and they continue to captivate people worldwide today as "singing ambassadors of goodwill." Their artistry, registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, delivers profound emotions across generations.
A French Full-Course Dinner at the Venue, "Imperial Hotel Tokyo" At this gala party, after enjoying the special performance by the Vienna Boys Choir, you will be served a French full-course dinner in the "Hikarino-ma" (Hall of Light) at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo. Please savor the meticulously prepared gourmet cuisine while immersing yourselves in the lingering resonance of their clear voices.
Furthermore, a portion of the participation fee will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society. This is a unique night where music, gourmet dining, and social contribution merge. We sincerely await your participation.
