7-Eleven Japan Launches "Cool Share" Initiative as a Heatstroke Prevention Measure

7-Eleven Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Tomohiro Akutsu) will sequentially implement a "cool share" initiative for customers and local residents starting from Monday, May 18, as a response to the rising summer temperatures each year. (*) With the new term "koku-shobi" (scorching heat day) being established for days with maximum temperatures of 40°C or higher, recent years have seen a rise in years with notably high temperatures. This initiative is being implemented in light of this situation, to allow customers to casually cool down inside the store and help prevent heatstroke.
