Seven-Eleven Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Tomohiro Akutsu) will launch a new product, "Yaki Manju," which allows customers to enjoy the local taste of Gunma Prefecture, at Seven-Eleven stores in Gunma Prefecture from April 21st (Tuesday).

"Yaki Manju," a local specialty of Gunma Prefecture, is a dish made by applying a sweet and savory rich miso sauce to a fluffy white dough and grilling it until fragrant.

The "Yaki Manju" to be released this time leverages the knowledge cultivated in the development of Seven-Eleven's original sweet buns, with careful selection of ingredients for the dough, resulting in a "light texture." Furthermore, by repeatedly grilling with sauce using a high-temperature baking machine, the savory aroma of the sauce spreads in the mouth when eaten.

"Light texture" that melts in the mouth

The dough is made with carefully selected ingredients and controlled fermentation temperature and time. It is finished with a light texture, embracing plenty of fine air bubbles.

As a unique process, a high-temperature baking machine used for cooking grilled rice balls, etc., is utilized. The sauce is applied to both sides and grilled, repeating this "sauce-grilling" process a total of three times, and also applied from above after plating. The savory taste spreads throughout the mouth.
