Since our first store opening in Kagoshima Prefecture in March 2011, Seven-Eleven has strived to improve services as a community-rooted store, supported by the people of Kagoshima Prefecture. In November 2011, we concluded a "Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement" with Kagoshima Prefecture and have continued various initiatives, such as releasing local production for local consumption products. Through the "Kagoshima Store Opening 15th Anniversary Fair," we will express our gratitude for your continued patronage by launching products that utilize Kagoshima Prefecture's rich food culture and through initiatives that contribute to regional revitalization.
"Kagoshima Future Project"
In light of the current situation where the child poverty rate in Kagoshima Prefecture is higher than the national average, which Kagoshima Prefecture has identified as one of its challenges, Seven-Eleven is engaged in the "Kagoshima Future Project" for the children who will lead the future, in collaboration with the Kagoshima Children's Cafeteria Support Center, with the aim of solving regional issues.
In August of this year, one year after the start of the food drive initiative at some stores in the prefecture, we are considering allowing children who attend children's cafeterias to experience customer service at our stores. We hope that through various experiences, they will deepen their understanding of work and find it useful in the future.
