Credor Goldfeather: A Tourbillon Limited Model Unveiled, Showcasing 30 Years of Master Engraving Craftsmanship to Create Originality and New Beauty

Seiko Watch Corporation (Representative Director, Chairman & CEO & CCO: Shinji Hattori, Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) will launch a limited edition tourbillon model from its ＜Credor＞ Goldfeather series, incorporating 30 years of refined engraving artistry, on Friday, August 7th. The suggested retail price is 28,600,000 JPY (including tax), with a global limit of 25 pieces.

Since its birth in 1974, ＜Credor＞ has fused outstanding technology with delicate sensibility, pursuing the highest quality and weaving a unique individuality. The brand name, meaning “The Golden Peak,” symbolizes its conviction to reach the pinnacle of quality and beauty as a dress watch brand originating from Japan.

For the first time, participating in Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026, the brand will unveil a model embodying its brand message, “The Creativity of Artisans,” infused with the beauty of engraving, for the first time worldwide.

Unique Engraving Technique Among Credor's enduring pursuit of beauty is its unique engraving technique. Credor's engraving is characterized by its sharp brilliance, similar to Japanese carving, while being based on the smooth and delicate strokes of Western engraving.

When curves are engraved using common Western engraving techniques, the luster can be weak, and the engraved surface may appear rough. Conversely, common chisels used in Japanese carving produce beautifully polished surfaces, but the traditional method of striking the chisel with a hammer is unsuitable for Credor's thin and small movement parts, as it could distort them. Therefore, Credor's engravers meticulously craft their own unique chisels (bites) tailored to the desired patterns and their hand shapes. Through years of dedicated practice, they create beautifully engraved surfaces that shine exquisitely from every angle.

This engraving technique was established in 1996, and 2026 marks its 30th anniversary. The engravers continuously maintain their unique chisels and tools, exploring new expressions by experimenting with various approaches to adorn the watches.

This work, the “Goldfeather Tourbillon Engraving Model,” is a creation born from the artisans' inspiration and 30 years of refined engraving technology, meticulously depicting diverse lines and patterns on the dial and movement, both front and back of the watch, thereby creating a new “beauty” for Credor.
