### About the "Seiko Excellent Award" Seiko has been supporting Japanese gymnastics as an official supplier to the Japan Gymnastics Association since 2015. The "Seiko Excellent Award," established in 2016, recognizes one male and one female athlete with the highest total E-score (Execution Score*) across the All-Japan Individual General Championships final in April and the second day of the NHK Cup.

*A gymnastics score is calculated by totaling the D-score (difficulty) and the E-score (execution/perfection).

### Background of the Award In gymnastics, execution quality—including landings, posture, and flow—significantly influences results alongside difficulty. The NHK Cup is one of Japan's most prestigious tournaments and serves as a crucial qualifier for the national team, drawing significant public attention.

Seiko has cultivated technology for producing "accurate time" and uncompromising craftsmanship for over 140 years. The company's stance of balancing high precision with refined beauty resonates deeply with the challenges faced by gymnasts who train to the limit to achieve perfect execution in a single moment. Seiko presents this award to honor athletes who embody the values of pursuing both precision and beauty.
