## The 8th MJ Audio Festival, a Celebration for DIY Audio Enthusiasts

Seibundo Shinkosha Co., Ltd. will hold the 8th MJ Audio Festival, a reader participation event for the comprehensive audio magazine 'MJ Radio & Experimentation', on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the Sonpo Kaikan in Akihabara.

'MJ Radio & Experimentation', a quarterly magazine (released on the 10th of March, June, September, and December) whose main content is articles on DIY audio equipment and explanations of audio technology, will hold its customary 'MJ Audio Festival'.

This event is centered around listening sessions for various audio equipment, including original vacuum tube amplifiers and speakers featured in 'MJ Radio & Experimentation', as well as the latest audio products, allowing readers to experience the "sound" that cannot be conveyed on the page.

Now in its 8th year, the event will feature a variety of programs.

First, in the annual "Legend Listening Session," Mr. Tamon Saeki, known as "Mr. Diatone," who has been at the forefront of speaker development since his time at Mitsubishi Electric, will take the stage. To commemorate the publication of the final fifth volume of his life's work series, "100 Years of Speaker Technology V: The Decisive Factor in Sound Creation in Speaker Systems" (Seibundo Shinkosha, April 2026), a lecture and listening session will be held. The session will focus on the content of the latest volume, with explanations on speaker systems for talkie movies and monitor speakers, as well as enjoying jazz with photos of jazz musicians taken by Mr. Saeki himself.

There will also be listening sessions for works featured in MJ, such as vacuum tube amplifiers and speakers by the magazine's regular contributors.

A demonstration of the latest work by Mr. Devon Turnbull, who presides over the audio brand "OJAS" in New York, and a talk event with Mr. Turnbull and an editor from the American audio magazine 'Stereophile' are also planned.

Furthermore, a large listening session is scheduled, featuring DIY amplifiers and speakers from 12 readers.

The event is one that audio fans can enjoy all day, with product demonstrations by exhibiting companies and sales of bargain audio equipment and parts.

And this time again, all visitors will receive an original MJ music CD as a gift.
