Special Program for Individuals on "Greenery Day" Holiday at a Discounted Price

The individual programs of "Furano Nature School Tokyo Campus" are usually held only on Fridays. This time, a special program will be held on "Greenery Day," a public holiday, to make it easier for those who find it difficult to participate on weekdays.

Additionally, participants can join at a special discounted price on the day. Adults, usually 2,250 yen (tax included), will pay a special price of 1,000 yen (tax included), and elementary to university students, usually 1,000 yen (tax included), will pay a special price of 500 yen (tax included).

Each session of the program, held in the morning and afternoon, lasts approximately 120 minutes. We also recommend enjoying the spring flower fields and fresh greenery of Showa Commemorative National Government Park along with the experience. Family participation is highly welcome, so please take this opportunity to experience it.

The "Furano Nature School" is an initiative where writer Sou Kuramoto, known for "Kita no Kunikara" (From the Northern Country), serves as the principal and conducts programs in Furano City, Hokkaido. With the same concept, Seibu Landscape Co., Ltd. began operating it in 2014 as an environmental learning program that can be experienced using courses set up within Showa Commemorative National Government Park (Tachikawa City, Tokyo). On the park's course, you will experience four programs over approximately 1.5 hours: "Green Classroom," "Barefoot Path," "1m Earth," and "4.6 Billion Years Earth Path." Dedicated instructors dramatically explain the magnificent story of the Earth's past and the evolution of life, making it a program where you can enjoy learning about global environmental issues.

Showa Commemorative National Government Park is a national park established by the government as part of the 50th Anniversary of Emperor Showa's Reign project, and it is one of Japan's leading urban parks. Under the theme of "Restoration of Greenery and Improvement of Humanity," it was developed as a park with a vast public space rich in greenery and cultural content.

The "Flower Festival 2026" is being held until May 24, 2026 (Sunday), where visitors can enjoy spring flowers such as nemophila and Shirley poppies in the flower fields throughout the park.
