◆ Background and Purpose of the "Employment Support Project Utilizing Assistive Devices"

In recent years, the needs of people with disabilities have become diversified and complex, and many challenges still exist in selecting and introducing optimal assistive devices tailored to individual characteristics.

Against this backdrop, this project aims to subsidize the development and improvement of devices that contribute to employment support for people with disabilities, and to raise awareness about the importance of utilizing assistive devices in employment settings. Manufacturers of assistive devices, companies employing people with disabilities, and intermediaries involved in employment support are asked to form teams to conduct monitor evaluations on the effects and points for improvement by actually using the assistive devices.

The results of the monitor evaluations will be widely shared, aiming to accelerate the development and dissemination of assistive devices and, in turn, promote employment for people with disabilities.

We are publicly recruiting teams that can cooperate with monitor evaluations as described below, so please consider participating.

*"Intermediary" in this project refers to a person who, based on the characteristics and usage environment of a person with a disability, performs the adaptation and adjustment of assistive devices and plans and implements demonstration evaluations. Specifically, this includes welfare medical professionals such as physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language-hearing therapists, rehabilitation engineers, job coaches, and professionals participating in a "support network." (Manufacturers are not permitted to also serve as intermediaries).
