SecureNavi, a company specializing in the digital transformation of 'humanities-based security'—including information security certifications, regulatory compliance, and audit management—has officially launched the service website for 'StarQuest'. This new product is designed to support compliance with the 'Security Measures Evaluation System for Strengthening Supply Chains' (SCS Evaluation System), currently being developed by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Cabinet Secretariat.
In recent years, cyberattacks originating from business partners have become frequent, making the strengthening of security across the entire supply chain an urgent priority. In response, the government is building the SCS Evaluation System, aiming for a launch by the end of fiscal year 2026. The system is designed to allow ordering companies to set appropriate security levels (★) for their vendors, aiming to raise the overall security baseline of the supply chain, including SMEs.
However, many companies face challenges such as not knowing where to start or lacking specialized personnel. StarQuest addresses these issues through AI-driven automation and continuous operational support, enabling companies to maintain and improve their security posture independently without relying on external consultants.
Key features include: 1) AI-assisted reduction of compliance workload, 2) comprehensive manuals and video guides for self-sufficiency, and 3) automatic updates to reflect changes in requirements and evaluation criteria. CEO Tomohiro Izaki stated, 'StarQuest is not just a tool for automating SCS compliance; we are looking toward the realization of automated auditing in Japan.'
