Barrier-free room at Hotel Route-Inn Tokyo Kamata - Ayamebashi, which has been prepared as a Tomaru Medica certified partner hotel to accommodate medical purposes.

JinVisionary Inc. (Ota Ward, Tokyo; Representative Director: Akihito Oshima), which operates the medical accommodation program "Tomaru Medica," has begun a proof of concept (PoC) for a hospital-integrated lodging program in collaboration with Route Inn Hotels (partner hotel: Hotel Route-Inn Tokyo Kamata - Ayamebashi) at a university hospital in Tokyo. In addition, by collaborating with mairu tech Inc. (Minato Ward, Tokyo; Representative Director: Satoshi Omura), which handles medical and welfare transportation services, an integrated support system from accommodation to transportation has been established.

Becoming sick can be anticipated. However, no one teaches you how to continue living while being sick. Commuting to distant hospitals, a few days after surgery, accompanying a family member. It's not serious enough to be hospitalized, but you can't go home. There are times like these in treatment. Where to spend that time, and how to spend it. Until now, this has been a problem that patients and their families had to solve on their own, individually.

Tomaru Medica was born to address this problem.

The moment a doctor "prescribes" it, the accommodation flow begins.

Up until now, patients' and families' "places to stay" have been treated as issues outside of healthcare. Where to stay has been left to individual judgment, and hospitals have not been involved in the design.

Tomaru Medica changes that premise.

The moment the attending physician issues a "Tomaru Pass," the reservation and preferential use flow to partner hotels is activated. Patients and their families simply head to the hotel with the pass, and their accommodation is confirmed. Accommodation is officially integrated into the hospital's formal collaboration.

By having the doctor's "prescription" as the starting point, this system is not limited to arranging accommodation. It is structured to connect with corporate welfare benefits and support group activities, with the idea of nurturing a system that supports the burdens of patients and families across society.

※ "Prescription" in this program does not constitute medical treatment but rather a recommendation based on a doctor's judgment.

Advanced medical care will be consolidated. Create a system before it becomes too distant.

In December 2024, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare compiled the "New Regional Medical Care Plan" (Note 1), which aims to consolidate acute care base hospitals to one facility per 200,000-300,000 people. Reorganization on a national scale is scheduled to proceed with a target of 2035. According to ministry data, by 2040, emergency transports for those aged 85 and over are projected to increase by 75%, and demand for home medical care by 62%. (Note 2)

Healthcare is becoming more distant. We believe that preparing the environment for accessing and commuting to that medical care will become increasingly important.

Collaboration with Route Inn Hotels: A System Set in Motion

The partner facility is Hotel Route-Inn Tokyo Kamata - Ayamebashi, operated by Route Inn Hotels (Ota Ward, Tokyo). It is located within walking distance of the target hospital and is equipped with barrier-free rooms, in-house wheelchair rentals, and emergency coordination flows.

Transportation support will be provided through collaboration with the "Mairu Transport Service" offered by mairu tech Inc. and mairu mobility Inc. This transport service, provided by crew members with medical and welfare qualifications, supports transportation between hospitals and hotels, including wheelchair and stretcher compatibility.

Accommodation. Transportation. A system is in place to respond if something happens. What is necessary to continue treatment has now entered a single flow.

Comment from Representative Akihito Oshima

“There are patients and families who give up on treatment. Many of those problems lie on the side of daily life, not medicine. Where to stay, how to travel, whether someone can be relied upon. Such issues hinder the continuation of treatment. Tomaru Medica was created to address these problems. First, we will prepare an environment where people can face their treatment, starting with accommodation.”

This system, to as many people as possible

Through this demonstration, while confirming the effectiveness of the accommodation system, we will proceed with expanding the target medical departments and partner hospitals.

Beyond that, we aim to gradually develop a system that alleviates the financial burden of patients and families through collaboration with corporations, NPOs, and support organizations, and an environment where individuals can receive services tailored to their situations during their stay.
