SeaOS Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Satoshi Matsushima; hereinafter "SeaOS") and its agent, Toyota L&F Kumamoto Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture; President: Hiroshi Ihara; hereinafter "Toyota L&F Kumamoto"), are pleased to announce the additional introduction of 14 units of the autonomous mobile robot (AMR) "TUGBOT2," provided by SeaOS, at a major domestic manufacturer's key factory.

1. Background and Purpose of "TUGBOT2" Introduction

In modern manufacturing, addressing labor shortages and improving productivity are critical issues. Amidst this, as part of efforts to build a sustainable manufacturing system at the factory, a pilot operation of four "TUGBOT2" units was conducted starting in 2025. In this project, SeaOS and Toyota L&F Kumamoto, with its deeply rooted local support capabilities, collaborated closely to support the smooth introduction and stable operation at the site. During actual operations, verification was carried out regarding high safety in environments where people and robots coexist, flexibility to tow existing specialized carts as they are, and reduction of operator burden through automatic coupling and uncoupling (hooking and unhooking) functions. Through these operations, a certain effectiveness in reducing the burden on on-site operations was confirmed, leading to the current additional introduction of 14 units. Both companies will cooperate to support the automation of transport operations by AMR "TUGBOT2" and aim for further efficiency of on-site work and the construction of a sustainable production infrastructure.

2. About Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) "TUGBOT2"

"TUGBOT2" is an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) that powerfully supports labor saving and productivity improvement at the site. It mainly features the following characteristics to achieve highly efficient transportation:

- Advanced Safety and CE Mark Acquisition: Equipped with obstacle detection and avoidance functions by advanced sensors, it can operate safely and securely even in environments where people and robots coexist. It has also acquired the "CE Mark," which meets international safety standards. - Complete Automation of Transport Process: With its unique automatic coupling and uncoupling (hooking and unhooking) function, it contributes to the realization of complete automation of the entire transport process without human intervention. - Productivity Improvement through High-Speed Travel at 7.2 km/h: Capable of high-speed travel at up to 7.2 km/h, it increases the number of transports per unit of time, directly leading to improved on-site productivity. - Integrated Control Software (Robot Management System): The integrated control software "Logiler Move," developed by SeaOS, enables not only the control of single or multiple AMRs but also integrated control that maximizes the robot's performance and functions according to the customer's site through customization.

3. Future Developments

SeaOS and Toyota L&F Kumamoto will continue to aim for further effectiveness and functional improvement of the autonomous mobile robot (AMR) "TUGBOT2" in manufacturing and logistics sites. Furthermore, while earnestly listening to the voices of those on site, they will combine the expertise in AI and robotics technology with a community-based support system to develop services based on the concept of "logistics DX closely aligned with the site."

* Automatic coupling and uncoupling (hooking and unhooking): A function that allows the robot to automatically couple and uncouple carts without requiring human intervention. * AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot): Autonomous Mobile Robot.
