This time, NPO MORE Planning, which engages in environmental conservation activities, conducted a practical training program combining "underwater cleaning x water rescue" for members of firefighting water rescue teams in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, for two days on March 23rd and March 24th, 2026.
This initiative is a pioneering program in Japan that integrates underwater cleaning and water rescue as two axes of technical training, unlike previous efforts where garbage was simply collected if found during water rescue training. It aims to enhance on-site response capabilities and explore the possibilities of private sector collaboration.
## Instructor and Guidance System
This training was guided by four experts with experience in actual water rescue scenes (affiliated with the Certified NPO Underwater Skill Up Academy, hereinafter U.W.S.U.A) and MORE Planning.
