Background of the Collaboration Agreement
Namerikawa City, Toyama Prefecture, is located in the central part of Toyama Prefecture, and is a compact and livable city with marine resources derived from firefly squid and deep ocean water, and a rich natural environment overlooking the Tateyama Mountain Range of the Northern Alps. The city is actively engaged in community development through the use of advanced digital technology, advocating for the realization of "Namerikawa-version Smart City" as a foundation for enhancing regional vitality.
Namerikawa City formulated the "Namerikawa City DX Promotion Plan" in March 2023, and in April 2024, it enacted the nationally advanced "Ordinance for Sustainable Community Development Created with Digital Technology," promoting three priority measures: citizen DX, community development DX, and city hall DX. The city is implementing various policies utilizing digital technology, such as establishing a DX Promotion Division, appointing a Chief Digital Officer (CDO), expanding a wide range of administrative services using the official LINE account, and promoting the introduction of neighborhood association management apps.
To further accelerate these initiatives, we have concluded this collaboration agreement with SDT to further promote the improvement of resident services and the efficiency of administrative operations through the utilization of generative AI.
