Recruitment for the 2nd Cohort of 'Hokkaido F Village X (HFX)', a Startup Business Development Program in Hokkaido

Scrum Ventures and Scrum Studio Inc. have launched the recruitment for the second cohort of 'Hokkaido F Village X (HFX),' a global acceleration program aimed at co-creating businesses between global startups and partners, local governments, universities, and regional players, based in Hokkaido and the Hokkaido Ballpark F Village.

For the second cohort, we are seeking startups in fields such as sports & entertainment, food & agri, mobility, sustainability, and well-being, aiming for business co-creation that leads to global expansion from Hokkaido.

◆Hokkaido: An Ideal Environment for Innovators Hokkaido offers an ideal environment for global innovators, backed by its nature, food, sports, entertainment, tourism, and advanced technology. The region expects new industrial developments in semiconductors, data centers, and renewable energy.

Meanwhile, it faces serious social issues like aging and population decline. By connecting cutting-edge startups with Hokkaido, we aim to solve these issues, improve daily life, and revitalize the region.

◆A Business Co-creation Ecosystem, Not Just an Accelerator HFX goes beyond mentoring. It provides a field for proof-of-concept (PoC) at Hokkaido Ballpark F Village and connects startups with partners, local governments, and universities, allowing them to develop businesses on the ground.

◆High Praise from 1st Cohort Startups The first cohort saw 310 applications from 29 countries, with 11 startups selected. They achieved 10 co-creation projects, with an NPS score of 90, highly valuing the speed of implementation.

'Connecting directly with decision-makers at large corporations was invaluable,' said Kevin Bratcher of Nature Coatings. 'The scale and passion are different from other programs,' added Kazuma Anzai of Tech Magic.

◆Recruitment Overview for 2nd Cohort We are recruiting in 5 areas: Sports & Entertainment, Food & Agri, Mobility, Sustainability, and Well-being. Selected startups receive business development opportunities, networking, and potential investment from Scrum Ventures. Recruitment runs from February to May 2026.
