New Immersive Exhibition 'Heisei Love Exhibition' Traces 30 Years of Heisei Romance with 3,000 Items!

The 'Heisei Love Exhibition' is an exhibition that everyone who knows the 'Heisei' era can enjoy. Ahead of the opening on Tuesday, April 7th, we are announcing information regarding the exhibits, experiences, shops, and cafes.

The approximately 30 years of the Heisei era saw rapid changes in communication methods, leading to diverse forms of romance. This exhibition classifies the era into three periods—early, middle, and late—and emotionally expresses the romance of those times through exhibits and experiences. You can experience the 'Heisei romance' in various ways, whether it's your own memories of 'those days' or a youth you never experienced.

[Immerse yourself in 'Heisei days' with nostalgic spaces and items]
Spaces such as school classrooms and the TSUTAYA of that time are perfectly recreated, featuring devices and items from each era, such as pagers, exchange diaries, flip phones, MDs, and sticker photo albums. Since you can actually pick up and look at the exhibits (Note 1), you can even enjoy the sensation of operating the devices.

[Corner for real experiences!]
Corners where you can enjoy 'Heisei romance' through real experiences have appeared, such as a pager typing challenge, an experience of calling a lover from a landline, and a photo spot where you can take mirror selfies in a phone booth! The late-era area includes everything from the 30 years, including smartphone screens and 'SNOW' face recognition stamps that are fresh in our memories.

[Participation of the experience-based creative group behind 'Ano Shokuinshitsu']
'Intangible Studio,' a creative collective of Hakuten Co., Ltd., known for the experiential exhibition 'Ano Shokuinshitsu' and the Tokyo Dome City Attractions 'Darkness Wedding' haunted house, is participating in the planning and production. By utilizing their storytelling and spatial production know-how, they have recreated the very 'atmosphere' of the Heisei era within the venue.

The shop will feature character goods and stationery that remind you of the Heisei era, as well as FuRyu's sticker photo machines, which were indispensable for after-school memories. Furthermore, as original exhibition goods, we will develop items inspired by flip phone screens like 'New Mail Inquiry' and 'Glittering Wallpapers,' as well as collaboration goods with illustrator Seishun Bot.

'Minna no! Heisei Renai CAFE' will open, where you can talk and enjoy 'Heisei romance' after the exhibition. We have prepared content where you can look back on the 'Heisei Love Exhibition' and write down your own memories or 'black history' of Heisei romance. On March 31, 2026, NTT Docomo's 3G 'FOMA' and 'i-mode' services will end (Note 2). The 'flip phone culture' indispensable for talking about 'Heisei romance' will come to an end this spring. We are currently holding a collaboration project with NTT Docomo on the official 'Heisei Love Exhibition' X account.
