【What is the Fuji Scout Badge?】

Boy Scouts offers a diverse range of educational programs to promote the growth of young people. The Fuji Scout Badge is the highest advancement badge in the Boy Scouts of Japan Federation. It is obtainable by Venture Scouts (high school age) and is an honorable badge awarded by the Federation as proof of a "good member of society" equipped with autonomy, responsibility, and public spirit. Starting from "Beginner," there are a total of 6 advancement badges: "2nd Class," "1st Class," "Kiku," "Hayabusa," and "Fuji," with the Fuji Scout Badge being the highest. Scouts aiming for the Fuji Scout Badge undertake challenges in 6 fields: "Basics," "Scout Skills," "Scout Spirit," "Service," "Faith Promotion," and "Growth and Contribution," in addition to undertaking a 2-night, 3-day solo camp. Furthermore, "leadership" is a crucial requirement for obtaining the Fuji Scout Badge, demanding the ability to plan, implement, and report on projects, along with possessing a spirit of service, and developing the qualities of a leader capable of social contribution.
