Whisky Festival 2026 in Osaka: Applications for Limited Original Bottles Open May 27

The Whisky Cultural Research Institute (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative: Mamoru Tsuchiya) will begin accepting purchase applications for limited original bottles on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 12:00 PM, to commemorate the large-scale whisky tasting event 'Whisky Festival 2026 in Osaka', to be held this June at the ATC Hall (Suminoe-ku, Osaka). The application period runs until 5:00 PM on Monday, June 8. Only attendees holding an admission ticket to the event are eligible to apply. For bottles where the number of applications exceeds the planned sales volume, a lottery will be held after the deadline. *Labels are currently in production and are subject to change. Five Types of Limited Original Bottles Appear! With the cooperation of five Japanese distilleries, we have prepared five types of limited original whiskies for this event. All are Japanese whiskies, carefully selected from casks by Mamoru Tsuchiya, Representative of the Whisky Cultural Research Institute, and bottled at single cask and cask strength. Furthermore, four of the labels belong to the institute's original 'Hyakunin Isshu Series', featuring woodblock prints created by printmaker Tomoko Watanabe inspired by poems from the 'Ogura Hyakunin Isshu' (*1). The remaining bottle features a label from the institute's original 'Shangri-La Series' (*2). These five bottles all feature event-exclusive labels and will be sold exclusively to 'Whisky Festival 2026 in Osaka' admission ticket holders. Those who have purchased admission tickets for multiple sessions can apply for each session. If you have purchased multiple admission tickets for a single session and distribute the tickets, the recipients can also apply from the admission tickets (digital tickets) they received. Please note that if you purchase multiple admission tickets for a single session but do not distribute them, the ticket purchaser can only apply once. The deadline for applications is 5:00 PM on Monday, June 8. After the deadline, the secretariat will verify the application details, and if the number of applications exceeds the planned sales volume, a lottery will be held.
