The Public Interest Incorporated Foundation 'Minna no Yume wo Kanaeru Kai' (Ota-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter 'our foundation') announces the opening of entries for the 'High School Students Minna no Yume AWARD 7' (https://school.yumeaward.jp/), an idea contest where high school students identify social issues they are highly interested in and propose solutions using the power of business.

## Purpose of the High School Students Minna no Yume AWARD

Our foundation has held the business plan contest 'Minna no Yume AWARD' for 16 consecutive years to discover, nurture, and support entrepreneurs who solve social issues and contribute to the achievement of SDGs, receiving sponsorship from various companies and backing from ministries such as the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the Cabinet Office.

To broaden the base of social entrepreneurs who solve social issues, we launched the 'High School Students Minna no Yume AWARD' in 2019, making this year its 7th iteration. The purpose of the 'High School Students Minna no Yume AWARD' is not only to foster entrepreneurs but also to provide an opportunity for high school students to recognize their own role in society through the exploration of social issues and to think about their future career paths.

## Features of the High School Students Minna no Yume AWARD

1. Supports the formulation of business ideas through online learning content, serving as a catalyst for considering career paths

In preparation for entry, the preliminary online learning content 'Social Business Learning Program' is available free of charge to those who wish to use it. The program supports the formulation of high school students' business ideas through lecture videos and worksheets for each lecture. While learning about social issues and SDGs, and encountering various case studies of social entrepreneurs solving social issues, high school students can learn the basics of business such as sales and differentiation strategies. Each video is about 20 minutes long, making it possible to utilize them in classes such as integrated inquiry.
