Scania Japan Strengthens Sales System in Tohoku Area

Scania Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Allan Soudan; hereinafter "Scania Japan") has established the "Scania Japan Sendai Sales Office" with the aim of strengthening its sales system in the Tohoku area. This office is positioned as one of the initiatives to expand the sales and after-sales service network, promoted as part of the partnership with NX Shoji Co., Ltd.

Against the backdrop of increasing logistics demand and diversifying regional transportation needs in recent years, the demand for high-performance trucks and reliable services in the Tohoku area has been steadily growing. The Sendai office is located in a key logistics hub adjacent to Sendai-Shiogama Port, an area where many transport operators are concentrated. Until now, operations in this region have primarily focused on services. By adding sales functions to the existing service system at NX Shoji's Sendai base, Scania Japan will establish a system that provides integrated sales and after-sales services, thereby embarking on full-scale market development in the Tohoku area as a key growth market.

The target regions will primarily be Aomori, Iwate, and Miyagi prefectures, but gradual expansion is also planned for Akita and Yamagata prefectures in conjunction with future enhancements to the service system.

This office will be established within the Sendai Factory of NX Shoji Co., Ltd. Sendai Branch Maintenance Department, which became a Scania service dealer in 2025, creating a system that provides integrated sales and after-sales services. By collaborating with NX Shoji's logistics and maintenance network, Scania Japan aims to provide prompt and high-quality local support, contributing to maximizing vehicle uptime and improving operational efficiency.
