Scania Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Allan Soudan; hereinafter “Scania Japan”) has established the “Scania Japan Sendai Sales Office” with the aim of strengthening its sales system in the Tohoku area. This base is positioned as one of the initiatives to expand the sales and after-sales service network, which is being promoted as part of a partnership with NX Shoji Co., Ltd.

Against the backdrop of increasing logistics demand in recent years and the diversification of regional transportation needs, the demand for high-performance trucks and reliable services in the Tohoku area has been steadily increasing. The Sendai base is located in a key logistics hub adjacent to Sendai-Shiogama Port, an area where many transportation operators are concentrated. Until now, operations in this region have primarily focused on service; however, by newly adding sales functions to NX Shoji's existing service system at its Sendai base, a system for providing integrated sales and after-sales services will be established. Going forward, full-scale market development will proceed in the Tohoku area as a key growth market.

The target regions will primarily be Aomori Prefecture, Iwate Prefecture, and Miyagi Prefecture, but Akita Prefecture and Yamagata Prefecture are also planned for gradual expansion in conjunction with the future expansion of the service system.

This base will be established within the Sendai Factory of the Maintenance Department of NX Shoji Co., Ltd.'s Sendai Branch, which became a Scania service dealer in 2025, to build a system that provides integrated sales and after-sales services. By collaborating with NX Shoji's logistics and maintenance network, we will realize quick and high-quality support closely tailored to the region, contributing to maximizing vehicle uptime and improving operational efficiency.

The Tohoku area is a market with very high potential for further growth in the future, and we have high expectations for contributing to the business development of our customers through locally rooted initiatives and steadily expanding sales in the future.”

Scania Japan will further strengthen its sales and service network in Japan through its partnership with NX Shoji. We will continue to build systems tailored to the characteristics of each region and support the long-term business growth of our customers.
