Senshu Beach Lantern Fest vol. 7 Announced for Sennan City, Osaka: "Lighting up the world with everyone's wishes"

(Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Rakuyo Otsuki; hereinafter "the Company") will host the "Senshu Beach Lantern Fest vol. 7 ~ The world becomes a little brighter with everyone's wishes ~" over two days on Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5, 2026. This participatory event, where lanterns are released simultaneously into the night sky, will take place at SENNAN LONG PARK and Tarui Southern Beach.

■ Event Highlights

Are you familiar with Thailand's "Yi Peng Festival" or Taiwan's "Pingxi Lantern Festival"? In these festivals, where thousands of lanterns soar into the night sky, people have passed down the tradition of entrusting their past mistakes and worries to sky lanterns and releasing them into the sky, purifying their hearts and wishing for a new beginning.

Due to their magical light and the way they rise into the sky, lanterns have become widely beloved as symbols of love, peace, and hope. In recent years, they have also been utilized in various celebratory settings such as weddings, anniversaries, and special festivals.

The "Senshu Beach Lantern Fest" was initiated to allow people to experience this sky lantern culture in Japan, and this year marks its 7th iteration. Set against the backdrop of Sennan City's renowned "Tarui Southern Beach," please enjoy a magical moment, embedding your wishes for the future into a lantern and hoping that the participants' thoughts will reach the sky alongside the beautiful seaside location.

Additionally, at the venue of this year's Senshu Beach Lantern Fest, a statue of the popular character that became a hot topic at the 2025 Expo is also installed. Please enjoy it at the venue along with the magical scenery of the lanterns.

This is a special viewing seat where you can watch the lantern release while sitting on a cushion from an elevated position utilizing the stone steps of the venue.
