No Adults on the Field: Crowdfunding Launched to Provide Uniforms for All Participants of the 'Deportare' Middle School Baseball Tournament

NPO SIS Academy (Principal Office: 36 Chidori-cho, Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture; Board Chair: Akira Wakasa) will host the "TSK Group Fund San-in Future/Enjin 3rd Deportare Middle School Baseball Tournament in Matsue 2026" from Wednesday, August 5, to Friday, August 7, 2026. To provide "special tournament uniforms" to all participating middle school students, the organization is soliciting donations through crowdfunding utilizing the Shimane Iki-iki Fund (Shimane Social Contribution Fund).

Donations are being accepted on the Shimane Iki-iki Fund crowdfunding page during the recruitment period.

"Deportare" is a Latin word meaning "to divert, enjoy, or play," and is the etymological origin of the word "sport." Returning to the origins embedded in this word, SIS Academy started the Deportare tournament two years ago.

In the first and second tournaments, a total of 96 middle school students from 31 middle schools across the San-in region participated. The three days spent meeting peers beyond school boundaries and playing with their own strength became an irreplaceable experience for many middle school students.

This crowdfunding project aims to raise funds for the production of "special tournament uniforms" for all middle school students participating in the 3rd Deportare Middle School Baseball Tournament in Matsue 2026.

5. Live YouTube Broadcast of Semifinals and Finals: Full-scale broadcasts with play-by-play and commentary deliver the tournament's philosophy and the players' brilliance.

This crowdfunding project is conducted through the "Shimane Iki-iki Fund (Shimane Social Contribution Plaza)." It qualifies for the same tax benefits as the Furusato Nozei (hometown tax donation) program, where the amount minus 2,000 JPY is fully deductible from income and resident taxes.
