Our organization supports 'April Dream,' a campaign that turns April 1st into a day for sharing dreams. This press release outlines the dream of NPO SIS Academy.
Boosting Dreams and Confidence!
Since its establishment in 2015, NPO SIS Academy has spent 11 years in Shimane Prefecture integrating sports, education, and human resource development.
'Boosting Dreams and Confidence!' — This is not just a slogan.
Sports should not inherently rob people of their dreams or confidence. Realities such as not being selected, failing to make the regular lineup, or losing often plant a sense of 'I can't do it' in young athletes. Furthermore, some people burn out after years of hard work. These are the realities we must face.
SIS Academy aims for the opposite.
We want more people to enjoy sports. There is no need to lose confidence, nor is there a need for excessive pride. Instead of comparing oneself with others, one should face a single question: Are you moving toward your dream? Are you getting closer? Or has the dream itself grown larger than before?
We want sports to be the catalyst for finding life dreams and confidence, a place to expand them, and the reason to take on challenges.
To achieve this, we provide more than just skills. When special spaces, special times, and special companions come together, people realize their potential through sports. This has been happening at SIS Academy for 11 years.
Our vision: 'To turn the San'in region into a world-class sports area.' Today, we expand that dream even further.
'To turn Japan into a world-class sports area.'
For those who wonder, 'From Shimane?', here is our story. In a land facing population decline, there are people striving to create a place where athletes visit, children grow, and citizens make sports a part of their daily lives. It might sound absurd, but today, the first step has actually been taken.
Creating a Hub for Athletes in Shimane
Our map of the future looks like this: Athletes from all over Japan—and eventually from all over the world—head to Shimane. Training, medical care, and recovery are completed here, while data is accumulated and analyzed to directly improve performance.
SIS Academy currently operates the TAP project, which centralizes medical professionals like physiotherapists and nurses as trainers for dispatch to professional clubs and school teams. We also analyze physical data to support training for youth generations.
When facilities for athletes take root in the community, what happens? Children stand on the same fields as genuine athletes. Local citizens incorporate sports into their daily routines. The accumulated data nurtures the next generation. Shimane will become a sanctuary for next-generation athletes.
The First Step of This Dream Starts Today
We are not just talking about dreams. Starting April 1, 2026, NPO SIS Academy, as a joint venture with Arion Co., Ltd., will take over the designated management of five facilities in Izumo City.
Target Facilities: - Koryo General Park - Koryo Training Center - Koryo Sports Field - Hii River Riverside Park - Hii River Shimizu Park
These sports facilities and parks are the first hubs for our vision of 'Sports Area Shimane.' Beyond existing facility use, we aim to operate parks and facilities loved by the community where many people gather and have fun through various events. We will create an environment where athletes, children, and local citizens can all use these places as their own.
Sports Are Not Just for 'Some People'
The word 'Sport' originates from the Latin 'Deportare' — meaning to be released from the everyday and to live freely and openly. Somewhere along the way, sports became something for experienced competitors or specific categories. SIS Academy believes this is not the original form.
The 'Deportare Middle School Baseball Tournament' hosted by our organization was born from a return to these roots. Adults do not stay in the dugout. Children create their own strategies, act as umpires, and everyone plays in the game. Rather than winning or losing, we value the experience of 'playing with your own voice.'
Moving forward, we will expand this spirit beyond baseball in coordination with our newly managed facilities. We will bring an environment from Shimane to the entire country where sports are not 'special' but a natural part of life for living freely and openly.
Actions We Are Taking Toward Realizing This Dream
・[Starting Today] Commencement of designated management for 5 facilities (Koryo General Park, etc.) via joint venture with Arion Co., Ltd.
・Expansion of medical trainer collaboration and physical data analysis via the TAP project.
・Promotion of facilities for both athletes and the general public.
・Further expansion of the Deportare Tournament (nationalization and future internationalization) and development of citizen participation programs.
・Establishing a system to connect sports data to next-generation development.
・Nurturing data utilization talent through collaboration with SIS Digital Creative Lab (DCL).
A dream begins the day it is declared. Boosting Dreams and Confidence!
