Survey: Over 60% of Noto Earthquake-Affected Households Still Report Negative Impact on Children After 2 Years

Save the Children Japan surveyed 1,460 households affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake and floods. Findings show 64% report ongoing negative effects on children, including severe stress and lack of play areas. Financial deficits among these families have increased fourfold compared to pre-disaster levels. The NGO submitted a report to Ishikawa Prefecture urging enhanced mental health services and direct economic support for affected families.
