Previous Contest Saw 100 Entries Nationwide, Increased Donations for Awarded Gifts

This contest was first held in fiscal year 2025 and received 100 entries from across the country. The submitted works conveyed feelings for producers, connections to local communities, and memories related to specialty products, resulting in a diverse collection of works highlighting regional appeal. Furthermore, comparing the period before and after the contest results announcement, the total number of donations for the awarded gifts increased by approximately 1.8 times, with some gifts seeing an increase of over 2.5 times (*). The contest has served as a catalyst for delivering the appeal and stories behind specialty products to a wider audience.

While opportunities to encounter specialty products from various regions through hometown tax donations are expanding, the chances to learn about their appeal and the stories behind them remain limited. This contest is held with the objective of discovering new regional attractions by communicating the appeal of specialty products from the unique perspectives of those connected to the regions.

* Results were announced on March 26, 2026, for fiscal year 2025. This compares the total number of donations for 16 awarded gifts on "Satofull" between January 25, 2026 - March 25, 2026, and March 26, 2026 - May 26, 2026.

- Grand Prize: ¥100,000 worth (1 winner per division)

- Special Award: ¥5,000 worth (3 winners per division)

- Future Regional Support Award: ¥5,000 worth (2 winners per division)

* The Future Regional Support Award is for applicants aged 18 and under.
