Satofull Revamps 'Let's Support Fireworks Festivals with Furusato Tax' Special Feature for 2026

Satofull Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo Ward, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hiroaki Fujii), operator of the furusato tax portal site "Satofull," will launch the renewed 2026 edition of its annual special feature "Let's Support Fireworks Festivals with Furusato Tax" on June 18, 2026.

The "Let's Support Fireworks Festivals with Furusato Tax" special feature has been published annually since 2023 to support local fireworks festivals across Japan through the furusato tax system, marking its fourth year in 2026. The page aims to increase awareness of fireworks festivals and encourage visits to host regions by showcasing event details and related premium gifts. This year, viewing tickets for events such as the Asaka City Summer Festival "Sai-ka-sai" in Saitama Prefecture and the Hachioji Fireworks Festival in Tokyo will be offered as furusato tax premiums for the first time, along with exclusive gifts available only through Satofull. Additional festivals and gifts will be added progressively.

Expanding Scale of Coverage and Growing Support via Satofull

Since 2023, the special feature has steadily expanded in scale, increasing the number of premium gifts, municipalities, and fireworks festivals featured. As a result, the number of donations for gifts listed in the special feature has grown to approximately 4.5 times that of 2023 (※), reflecting the growing support channeled through Satofull. In recent years, some fireworks festivals have been forced to cancel due to rising costs, labor shortages, and declining sponsorships. Conversely, hosting fireworks festivals can boost tourism, benefiting local accommodations and attractions, and contributing to regional revitalization. Satofull aims to continue encouraging donations through this feature to support the continuation of fireworks festivals and regional economic growth.

Ibaraki Prefecture's Inashiki City: Crowdfunding-Style Furusato Tax Covers Rising Costs

In addition to the special feature, Satofull also lists projects related to fireworks festivals on its "Satofull Crowdfunding" platform to solicit donations. The project for the "2025 Inashiki Summer Festival Fireworks" in Inashiki City, Ibaraki Prefecture, launched in July 2025, successfully reached its fundraising goal.

The city launched the campaign in response to rising operational costs for the fireworks festival. All collected donations were fully allocated to the operational expenses of the "2025 Inashiki Summer Festival Fireworks." As a result, the increased launch costs were covered, allowing the festival to maintain the same scale as in 2024, with approximately 10,000 fireworks launched.

Additionally, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the city's incorporation, the city expanded seating capacity by adding more "pair seats," enhancing the festive atmosphere for this milestone year.

Information about the "2026 Inashiki Summer Festival Fireworks" and related premium gifts will be added to the special feature as preparations progress.
