Japan's oldest surviving beer hall celebrates its 92nd anniversary: Founding festival at 'Beer Hall Lion Ginza 7-Chome Store'

Sapporo Lion Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President: Hiroyuki Tazawa), a group company of Sapporo Holdings, will hold a founding festival event to express gratitude for long-standing patronage at 'Beer Hall Lion Ginza 7-Chome Store', Japan's oldest surviving beer hall, which celebrates its 92nd anniversary on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

A hall of fame beer hall embodying history and tradition 'Beer Hall Lion Ginza 7-Chome Store' The 'Ginza Lion Building', registered as a National Registered Tangible Cultural Property (Building) on February 17, 2022, was founded on April 8, 1934 (Showa 9), and on April 26 of the same year, 'Beer Hall Lion Ginza 7-Chome Store', which is the oldest surviving beer hall in Japan, opened on the first floor.

The interior has hardly changed since its foundation, and it has continued to be loved by many customers across generations as 'a beer hall that always welcomes you with the same appearance no matter how many times you visit' and 'a beer hall filled with memories', and will celebrate its 92nd anniversary on Wednesday, April 8 of this year.

### Toast with live music at the 'Ohanami Beer Hall Concert'! At Beer Hall Lion Ginza 7-Chome Store, the 'Ohanami Beer Hall' is currently being held for a limited time until Monday, April 13, with the store interior extensively decorated with cherry blossoms.

On the two days of April 8 (Wednesday), the day of its founding, and April 13 (Monday), the last day of the Ohanami Beer Hall, we will hold the 'Ohanami Beer Hall Concert' where you can enjoy singing and live performances by musicians while cherry blossom viewing. You can fully enjoy cherry blossom viewing in the spring-like beer hall with cheerful music and a draft beer poured using the Ginza Lion traditional 'single pour' in hand.
