At Yebisu Garden Place (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), the event 'Hizen Yoshida-yaki × YEBISU Marché', which introduces the charm of 'Hizen Yoshida-yaki', a porcelain that fuses 400 years of history with modern sensibility, will be held for the first time over two days on Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12, 2026. This event is implemented as a joint project with 'YEBISU Marché', which is held regularly on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month.
Hizen Yoshida-yaki is a historical porcelain that has been passed down for over 400 years in 'Ureshino', the province of Hizen, located in Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture. Characterized by 'free manufacturing' that is not bound by a specific style, it continues to evolve with the times, from practical vessels such as polka-dot teapots and teacups, which can be said to be the icon of Hizen Yoshida-yaki, to modern designs tailored to contemporary lifestyles. At this event, five kilns that are creating a new breeze through new challenges while preserving the tradition of Hizen Yoshida-yaki will gather together. At the venue, you can enjoy conversations with the creators and fully appreciate the world of ceramics where tradition and innovation merge. Furthermore, along with the porcelain, 'Ureshino tea', a local specialty, will also be sold, making it a special two days where you can taste the climate and culture of Saga/Ureshino with all five senses while staying in Tokyo.
In addition, 'HARVEST', which has roots in Ureshino and handles kitchen tools and tableware in Ebisu, will open a stall for the first time. It will be an opportunity to come into contact with the perspective of incorporating craftsmanship into everyday life, along with Yoshida-yaki and Ureshino tea.
At Yebisu Garden Place, through opportunities to experience regional culture and handiwork like this time, we value visitors encountering new values and choices in their lives.
Please take this opportunity to touch the multifaceted charm of Ureshino and spend a moment encountering new sensibilities and culture.

《About Hizen Yoshida-yaki》
The area spanning Saga and Nagasaki has been called 'Hizen' since ancient times, and is a pottery producing area where many kilns still breathe today. The origin of Hizen Yoshida-yaki dates back to 1598 (Keicho 3), when one of the Korean potters brought back by Toyotomi Hideyoshi during his dispatch of troops to Korea was sent to Yoshida under the orders of Nabeshima Naoshige, the lord of the Saga domain at the time, and began making pottery.
Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture, the home of Hizen Yoshida-yaki, is a land blessed with beautiful nature and rich resources. It is known as the home of 'Ureshino Onsen', famous as one of Japan's top three skin-beautifying hot springs, and 'Ureshino tea', which is famous nationwide. Taking advantage of the characteristics of this region, there are many kilns that manufacture tea utensils, and the 'polka-dot teapots and teacups', which can be said to be the symbol of the Showa dining table, are one of the representative products of Hizen Yoshida-yaki.
The manufacture of these porcelains is mainly handwork using natural clay and glaze, and in the process, pinholes and black spots occur, inevitably resulting in 'non-standard products' that cannot be put on the market. The kilns in the Yoshida district have affectionately named these 'dimples and moles' and are undertaking an initiative to offer them at a slightly more affordable price than the list price. At this event, five kilns participating in this 'dimples and moles' project will open stalls.
