What is the "SAKURA Japan Women's Wine Awards 2026"?

The "SAKURA Award" is the largest and most valuable international wine competition in Asia, held since 2014.

The judging method is conducted in a blind tasting format by female wine professionals (sommeliers, wine importers, distributors, wine shops, winemakers, wine school instructors, and wine journalists), and evaluated on a 100-point scale. Based on the evaluation results, "Diamond Trophy", "Double Gold", "Gold", and "Silver" are selected.

The 13th 2026 judging session was held on Tuesday, February 3 in Osaka (Hotel Nikko Osaka) and Friday, February 6 in Tokyo (Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel). 3,715 items from 37 countries around the world were entered, and a total of 2,260 items received awards, including 274 "Double Gold" items, 1,272 "Gold" items, and 714 "Silver" items.
