Sanwa Group HD Partners with Hida Itsuki Group to Promote Wooden Playground Development in Osaka and Kyoto, Supporting Regional Revitalization and Child-Rearing Environments

Sanwa Group Holdings Co., Ltd. (both headquartered in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture; Representative Director: Masahiro Inoue), and Hida Itsuki Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Anna Yamazaki; hereinafter collectively referred to as "Hida Itsuki Group") to promote the development of children's playgrounds and the utilization of public spaces.

This alliance aims to present new solutions to social challenges that have been pointed out in various contexts in recent years, such as the aging of public facilities, changes in outdoor space usage due to extreme heat, and the response to a decarbonized society, by bringing together private sector know-how.

 The alliance integrates Sanwa Group's robust construction management system with the specialized wooden construction technology of its subsidiary, Core Kenchiku Kobo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture). By combining this with Hida Itsuki Group's expertise in utilizing domestic timber, the expansion in the Osaka and Kyoto areas will be accelerated based on the following three points:

1. Promotion of facility development through Public-Private Partnerships (PPP/PFI)

We propose sustainable facility development that is loved by the community, while optimizing the financial burden on the administration, by considering various methods such as Park PFI, designated manager system, and comprehensive management.

2. Packaging of problem-solving, from "building" to "operating"

We will establish a system that comprehensively undertakes not only the hardware aspects of design and construction but also flexible "operation and content provision" tailored to user needs. This will reduce the administrative burden on local governments and continuously provide high-quality citizen services.

3. Contribution to local economic circulation and decarbonization through the utilization of domestic timber

 By actively utilizing domestic timber, including Hida wood, we will promote "wood change" (promotion of timber use). This will support local governments in achieving their decarbonization goals and create warm "playgrounds that nurture the five senses."

Through this alliance, we aim to further expand the wooden construction design and construction business domain handled by Core Kenchiku Kobo, and contribute to sustainable community development as a partner for municipalities and local organizations throughout Osaka and Kyoto.

Currently, concrete discussions are underway in multiple municipalities within the Osaka and Kyoto areas regarding the utilization of unused land and the redevelopment of existing parks, with the goal of concluding contracts within fiscal year 2026.
