Sanko Seika Opens New Office in Shibuya

Sanko Seika Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chūō-ku, Niigata City, Representative Director and President: Eikichi Ushikiri, hereinafter referred to as 'the Company') opened a new office named 'Canvas' in Shibuya, Tokyo on June 15, 2026. This office will serve as a strategic hub to accelerate new value creation by incorporating urban sensibilities and new ideas into marketing, human resources, and business strategy functions.

Background and Purpose of Shibuya Office Opening

To embody the Company's corporate brand slogan 'Make Wow Moments. Create moments that make you say 'Wow!' and have fun,' we believe that co-creation with diverse partners is essential. Based on this idea, we have decided to establish an office in Shibuya, the heart of Japan. By raising our antennae and gaining new insights not found within the company, we will challenge domains and technologies beyond the conventional extension line, embody and disseminate 'Make Wow Moments,' and deliver an extraordinary 'Wow!' to our customers and society. Furthermore, we will strengthen global collaboration, including U.S. and Chinese bases and other regions, with an eye on accelerating global expansion with Tokyo as the starting point.

Origin of the Name 'Canvas' for the Shibuya Office

'Canvas' evokes the image of a blank canvas, expressing the desire for each employee working there to be the main character and create moments of 'Wow!' that make them genuinely excited.

Functions and Roles

At the time of opening, the office will house the Overseas Business Headquarters, Sales Strategy Headquarters, Marketing Department, and Human Resources Department, with approximately 20 employees.

In the future, we will strengthen the following functions through personnel expansion:

・ Strengthening global collaboration with Tokyo as the starting point

・ Strengthening sales strategies and marketing and brand communication power in the metropolitan area

・ Accelerating product development and new business creation

・ Strengthening recruitment to acquire diverse human resources

Note that the Tokyo Sales Office in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo will continue to serve as a base for business activities as before.

While we have been engaged in manufacturing with Niigata as our base, we believe that by combining new ideas derived from urban areas, we can create unprecedented 'Wow!' moments. Through the opening of this office, we will enhance our information sensitivity and human resources in urban areas and aim for even speedier value creation.

Main products include 'Yuki no Yakata' released in 1977, 'Parinko' released in 1975, 'Niigata Shikomi,' 'Marudaito Senbei' and other senbei (rice crackers), 'Cheese Almond' and other rice crackers, 'Tsubu Yori Komochi,' 'Sanko's Kaki no Tane' and other arare and okaki (rice crackers), 'Mixed Karinto' and other karinto products, and 'Mochikyua,' a gummy-like mochi made from rice flour.
