~ About San-X Characters (Selection) ~

Tarepanda (Released in 1998) Debuted in 1998. Their body length varies from 5cm to 3m. It is difficult for amateurs to distinguish between males and females. There are rumors that they multiply by dividing. They can sometimes be caught by placing 'suama' (a Japanese sweet) in a transparent jar.

Rilakkuma (Released in 2003) Rilakkuma is a bear in a costume who suddenly moved into the house of an office worker named Kaoru. He spends his days lounging around. There is a zipper on his back, but the contents are a secret. He lives with Korilakkuma, a mischievous and playful bear cub, and Kiiroitori, a hardworking and tidy yellow bird. Chairoikoguma, who lives in the Honey Forest, is Korilakkuma's friend.

Sumikko Gurashi (Released in 2012) Characters born in 2012 under the keyword 'Settling down in the corner.' Their appeal lies not only in being cute but also in their slightly negative and surreal characters and stories, which have gathered popularity across a wide range of age groups. Whether it's filling the corner seats first when boarding a train or securing a corner table at a cafe... the 'Sumikko' characters embody these feelings shared by many Japanese people.
