Samsung Wallet and JR East Launch Collaboration on "Welcome Suica Mobile / Mobile Suica" for the Convenience of Inbound Tourists to Japan

Samsung Electronics Japan (hereinafter Samsung) is pleased to announce a collaboration with East Japan Railway Company (JR East) with the goal of making the Suica application for inbound tourists, "Welcome Suica Mobile", available on Samsung Galaxy smartphones released overseas in the first half of 2027. Through this collaboration, tourists visiting Japan will be able to seamlessly use transportation, including trains and buses, as well as make purchases immediately after arriving in Japan using their Samsung Galaxy smartphones purchased overseas. Concurrently, we are aiming to launch a service that allows "Samsung Pay" to be used as a payment method on both the Mobile Suica and Welcome Suica Mobile apps. ■ Initiatives for Future Collaboration Suica Support on "Samsung Galaxy Smartphones" Released Overseas Support for issuing Suica via the "Welcome Suica Mobile" application for inbound tourists on "Samsung Galaxy smartphones" released overseas from 2027 onwards. *Details regarding release regions and compatible models will be announced as soon as they are finalized. Launch of Payment Services via "Samsung Pay" for Mobile Suica and Welcome Suica Mobile Utilization of "Samsung Pay" when charging, purchasing ordinary train Green Car tickets, discount tickets, and commuter passes on Mobile Suica and Welcome Suica Mobile. We aim to realize the following services on Welcome Suica Mobile compatible with "Samsung Galaxy smartphones" released overseas in the first half of 2027.
