Salesforce Japan has announced the full-scale launch of the 'Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) Partner Network' in Japan.
The FDE Partner Network was initially introduced at TDX 2026 in the United States this past April. It is designed to accelerate the production deployment of Salesforce's AI agent platform, 'Agentforce,' by providing selected partners—who have passed rigorous evaluation—with deep access to Salesforce’s engineering expertise and product roadmaps. With nine initial partners participating, the program is now fully operational in the Japanese market.
Background and Challenges While interest in AI adoption is growing among Japanese companies, many remain stuck in the testing phase and struggle to transition to full-scale production. The primary cause is not the performance of AI models, but a lack of enterprise-grade implementation know-how, such as data integration with complex legacy systems, governance framework establishment, and embedding AI into business processes. Salesforce is investing in its partner ecosystem to bridge this gap.
About the FDE Partner Network The network consists of partners selected based on their Agentforce implementation records and deep technical expertise, rather than company size. It employs a collaborative model where Salesforce shares its internal engineering methods with certified partners, who then deeply engage with customer projects.
